Just Like Magic
By DesertMama | January 12, 2008
Woo-hoo! I’m such a sucker for a bargain and the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau has an awesome offer: the Free Orlando Preferred Visitor Magicard. The Magicard provides discounts on rental cars, hotels, and restaurants (20% off at the International Plaza Resort & Spa Blue Marline restaurant - minus booze). There are even discounts for attractions like my all time favorite, Gatorland. Who doesn’t love alligators?
The card expires May 31, 2008 (maybe they will issue a 2009?) So if you plan on hittin’ Orlando over the next few months you can order the Magicard online and the CVB will send you an information packet. You can also print the card from home, or pick it up at the Orlando Visitor Center. Just flash your card when you pay and you’ll get your discounts - just like magic!

I love deals, too! Anyone know if other cities do discount cards like this? I think it would be worth researching via the CVBs before any trip.

A lot of cities have similar deals. While some cost a few dollars they’re usually worth it. For example, the Tucson Passport costs $15 but has $400 worth of savings.
