Postcard from Kansas City

Other posts by MountainMama

We miss CajunMama! Readers, please check out her updated post below. Her home is one of a few in her ‘hood that has power. She’s got friends and family sleeping over, and is sharing her laundry room and the foodstuffs in her fridge. There’s still a lot of clean-up going on in Louisiana after Hurricane Gustav plowed through.

In the meantime, Mudslide, Desert and I are busy working (and playing) in Kansas City. This afternoon we toured a bit downtown, and bowled a few lanes at Lucky Strike, a totally cool and hip bowling alley/lounge in the totally cool, hip and revitalized, nightclub- and restaurant-filled Power & Light District. Here we are being goofy at the lanes (okay, just Mudslide is really being a goof; Desert and I take our bowling very seriously).
