Hunger made Dallas Thompson humble. His mother would visit a local food bank when her pantry grew empty, but the Lake City man never accompanied her.

Here's one to add: She (or in my case he) says after two weeks in Paris, "Mommy, can we go back to Paris and stay even longer next time?"

I actually was asked this question today.

Love this list! My kids are all grown up, but, like your daughter, they showed tell-tale signs of becoming traveling dudes (the male equivalent of traveling mamas??) when they were still in "short pants." I took my oldest, now 32, from Boston to Rome, Italy when he was 18 months old. He's loved traveling ever since!
