Next month we are going to Rome and I found some great kid-friendly "history" books at Usborne Young Reading. I found it difficult to find travel/history books written for children. My daughter, age 7 at the time, read the book about Pompeii and became fascinated about it! She actually read the book twice and, of course, we definitely will visit Pompeii when we go to Rome!
