Great Contest Giveaway – Flip Ultra Digital Video Camera

Other posts by MudslideMama

Awesome contest giveaway alert! The Traveling Mamas are so excited to be able to run this contest: We’re giving away a new Flip Ultra Series video camera. That’s right, one lucky winner will receive a travel-friendly, easy to use, On the Move Approved video camera.

This latest model of the Flip Ultra Series has 2GB (instead of the 1 gigabyte model) of memory, and can record up to 60 minutes. It comes with the TV connector cable, wrist strap, carrying case, two AA batteries, and – needless to say – an instruction booklet. It runs on both PC and Mac. These are easy to pack and travel with; Flip Ultras are super light. Seriously, they weigh around 5 ounces! We Traveling Mamas love our Flip cameras – no more tapes, since they record video right into its internal flash memory. This is really one of our favorite On the Move Approved travel items (and we’re picky to begin with). It feels great to be able to give one away in this contest giveaway. While Flip video cameras can be several colors, this one should please whoever wins the giveaway: It is your basic black and silver model, very chic and clean-looking. Its streamlined design and functionality are self-evident. Flip users can snap still photos from videos, upload right to YouTube and MySpace, watch just-shot videos instantly on TV, and email videos too.

The Flip Ultra video camera is so portable and easy to use, my kids got the hang of mine right away. And, it plugs right into desktop and laptop computers. The videos load right up, easy as pie. Now, it’s not hard to enter and try to win this contest giveaway. All you need to do is leave a comment below describing what you think your first video taken with the Flip would be, should you win the contest. The winner is chosen, as always, using a random number generator. Pretty easy, right? Well, yes; as easy as using a Flip video camera. US Residents only, please (it’s a shipping costs thing). Contest ends at 6PM January 27, 2009.

  1. The first video I’d take with the Flip would be the kid (8 yr old little girl) playing with our new puppy (7 month old welsh corgi). Not just playing but sliding down our back hill. The snow is higher than the puppy is tall yet she has got to be by the kid all the time. Watching her “porpoise” through the snow after the kid is hilarious, and very, very charming.

BTW, new subscriber and love your site!

  2. Jen Glatt says:

The first video I’d take with the Flip would be of our kids (8 and 5) in New York City. My husband and I travel to the city once a year just the two of us, but the kids have been begging for us to take them and when we tag along on a business trip with my husband, we’ll capture their awe of the city in more than just still shots. It will also be a first literally: if I win the Flip, I’LL be taking the video for once, not my husband! :)

    Love your site!!

  3. Diane says:

We’re an American military family living overseas, and have enrolled our children in the local schools here. Our first video would be of them singing the songs they’re learning at school since I’m afraid they’ll forget them all when we have to leave! I’d say that’s more of an ongoing video project than a single video, but I’m dying to get them on tape singing “Viva La Befana!” (the befana is the witch who brings stockings to the Italian kids on the eve of Epiphany).

  4. Lisa says:

My family (3 boys – 8, 13 and 18)will be traveling to Mexico in middle February to help build adobe houses for poor families. We would use camera to take pictures of the project to show classmates, freinds and family at home — that way we might get other families to do the same kind of project.

  5. Carolyn G says:

The first video I would take is of my new house so I caould send it to my friends and family who have not visited yet.

My first video would be of children behaving like wild animals. That is based on the assumption that my children will behave much like I did every time my Grandpa used to pull out his 8mm camera back in the good ol’ days. Something about the camera being turned on would immediately propel me into walls and jumping all over the furniture like a monkey. LOL!
