Just got back and stayed at OCW. Very nice, Ladies! I was warned there was little to do in TC but there is as much or as little as you care to do. I went down early for 4 days and the rest of the family followed. We beached and biked every day. You don't need a car because all places are more than happy to pick youup. It is not an inexpensive island and there is very little povery there. It was obvious things are coming to a halt witht the economy, but that means the deals are there also. We had bypassed this island chain in the past but it's a quick 3 1/2 hours non-stop from Boston. We got the 20% off deal but if you can find an owner- all the units are owned- it's not a hotel, you can save another 20%.

The Turks and Caicos has somehow managed to avoid the overgrown tourism of other Caribbean airlines. It's a true island paradise. Thanks for sharing your pictures, they're fantastic!

We were there last June for out anniversary, it is beautiful and completley relaxing as it has yet to be too overly commercialized, the locals (belongers) are very friendly and proud of their island, they were all very helpful with directions and advice. We stayed at the Sommerset, it was breathtaking, the service was incredible.

Spending many summers in Destin, Florida (and surrounding beaches), I am particularly fond of white sand beaches. I will keep this on my list of possibilities, when planning my next trip.

Wish I could wiggle my nose and get there now!

Looks gorgeous. Love the white sand beach. I'll think about T&C the next time I'm planning an island getaway. (I was just remarking to my husband yesterday that while we've been to the Caribbean several times, the only white sand beach we've ever visited was in Granada. It was on a very secluded part of the island, accessible only by 4-wheel drive. When we happened upon it, there wasn't a soul there. Pure heaven.
