A Day at the Four Seasons Manele Bay Lanai #VisitLanai

I’ve been dreaming of Hawaii’s Island of Lanai for a while. Lanai is one of those places that not everyone knows about. It’s an unhurried destination with no stoplights, traffic or fast-food restaurants. What Lanai IS includes tradition, serenity, history, adventure, and what Hawaii should be.

Lanai is classy, sexy, relaxing, and embracing. When my first foot stepped onto the ground, I immediately felt my stress and worries evaporate, as if someone had waved a magic wand over me.

There are only three hotels on Lanai, with all three offering shuttle service from the intimate Lanai Airport. The 25 minute shuttle ride passed the edge of Lanai City and followed a tree lined road all the way to Manele Bay. The scent of the trees (Cook Pines) made me think of Christmas.

We arrived at the Four Seasons Manele Bay, settled in our beautiful Oceanview Suite and then went in search of breakfast. There is a full breakfast menu available, but we chose the buffet for the variety. Of course I enjoyed a mimosa with my breakfast.

We returned to our room to watch the whales and dolphins swimming within view. I didn’t want to leave this beautiful outdoor living area. I eventually dragged myself away to explore the grounds.
