One of the greatest theater towns in the world is New York City.  Visit during the summer and you can see free productions in the parks.  From the world renowned Shakespeare in the Park plays at Delacorte Theater in Central Park to Little Red’s Hood in Queen’s Highland Park, theater lovers can enjoy classic shows and the works of emerging playwrights.  Check the calendar for scheduled events on the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation website: www.nycgovparks.org.
