King Cakes in Baton Rouge

I was recently asked to judge the first BiteClub Challenge – the Baton Rouge King Cake taste off. I was one of a number of area media personalities to take part in a blind tasting of over 17 different king cakes. It was a touch job, but fortunately my prior training helped me. Here are some photos of some of the king cakes available in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The winning entry came from Calandro’s and was absolutely divine.
